Husky Outfitters Balto Modular Rear Door System

Husky Outfitters designed The Balto modular rear door system for the 2019+ Mercedes Sprinter VS30 with 180 degree rear hinges. Named after the famous husky that ran the 1925 serum run to Nome, Alaska. Balto and his team carried a life saving medicine to stop the diptheria outbreak.

Heavy duty MIG welded construction consisting of 1.5"x.120" wall 6061 aircraft grade aluminum tubing and .25" 6061 aircraft grade aluminum flat mounting plates. Powder coated shiny texture black with one of the best coatings on the market made by Prismatic Powder. Our products are proudly made in the U.S.A. from start to finish! 

Our modular rear door system provides a strong, easy to use, and modular platform to the rear of your Sprinter. A key difference we have pioneered is a quick detach storage box. The quick detach system was designed to utilize almost any box imaginable, but we prefer Pelican Protector Cases for their overall quality, lightweight strength and aesthetic. Typically we use 1630 cases, these were selected for their size but most importantly they have wheels and a retractable handle just like a suit case. They can also be carried from both sides by two people for heavier loads. If you want a different size or brand box ask us about custom mounts. The Pelican Case is supported by our heavy duty lower mount to take all the load off of the quick detach latches. Cam lock style stainless steel latches and the Pelican case are lockable with a standard pad lock of your choice. We intentionally do not provide locks as this would make all of the keys the same.
